THE ISSUE:

The very treatment that can save a life can also destroy life. Cancer treatment depletes young females egg supply and can eliminate  young men's sperm.  Baby girls are born with all the eggs they will ever have so once gone there is no going back.

When young men and women undergo treatment for cancer, their treatments (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and targeted hormonal therapies) can cause them to become infertile. Often they are not made aware of this potential side effect before it is too late. The tragedy of cancer is then complicated by the heartbreak of infertility. To add insult to injury, the fertility preservation procedures which are needed to preserve the hope of a family are not covered by most insurance.

WHAT IS TEAM MAGGIE’S DREAM

To keep the dream of family alive Team Maggie’s Dream supports, educates, and provides financial assistance to young men and women with cancer who are seeking to preserve fertility prior to treatment. We are a non-profit 501©3  that raises money for fertility preservation for cancer patients across the USA. 

HOW DO WE OPERATE 

We partner with infertility doctors as well as oncologists and hospitals to bring awareness of available options. Through grants and fund-raising events we raise the money to help cancer patients who wish to harvest their eggs or sperm.

• TEAM MAGGIE STRIPER FISHING TOURNAMENT
• TEAM MAGGIE 5K/10K RUN/WALK

100% of proceeds go to Team Maggie’s Mission.  

100% volunteer.  

Hundreds of young adults and teens with cancer have receive grants up to $2,500.
