Make A Difference in Life After Cancer!

Many friends and family have asked what they can do to help Kailey in this tough time of battling colorectal cancer. It has been amazing how the Lord has brought exactly what she needed at the perfect time. Including Team Maggie's Dream. As many of you know Kailey and Brian lost a beautiful baby boy, Rowan, when they experienced a full term still birth a few years ago. They have taken time to grieve the loss of their son believing that time was on their side (Kailey is only 30 yrs old). You can never expect something like cancer to change everything in your life. But it did for them. Kailey knew from the beginning that her recovery prognosis was very good but the thought of chemo and radiation possibly destroying any chance she had of having a baby in the future was devastating to say the least. All we prayed for was HOPE for her. Her team at Emory immediately eased her fears by sending her to their fertility center. The option of harvesting eggs and freezing them for future use was perfect. But expensive. This is not a procedure covered by most insurance. But they immediately put her in touch with Team Maggie's Dream. They jumped right in and cover almost all the costs associated with this procedure. Her procedure was actually more successful than anyone could have hoped for and with God's help they will at least have the chance to try to have a baby when she puts all of this behind her. Please Support My Fundraiser so together we can sponsor a Team Maggie's Dream Grant for Giving Tuesday.   A $2,500 grant will help provide a young man or women the opportunity to "Keep The Dream of Family Alive" prior to cancer treatment.    You see the very life saving treatment they need to save their life can also leave them childless.  By preserving their fertility through harvesting eggs or sperm banking they will have the opportunity to have a baby after battling cancer.

Team Maggie For A Cure is a the only Nationwide 501(c)3 that provides support, education and financial assistance for young men and women to preserve fertility after a cancer diagnosis.  

155 young adults and teens with cancer have received grants up to $2,500.
