The Friends of Music Education in Haiti Legacy Fund is a campaign of to enlist the support of our neighbors, friends, community partners, and alumni to realize the vision of our founder, Romel Joseph: to develop well-rounded children through education and cultural exchange.
In partnership with The New Victorian School, FMEH seeks financial contributions and in-kind support to offer the following programs:
- Artists-In-Residence Experience: a program that invite international musicians to mentor and perform with students at The New Victorian School.
- Instrument Acquisition & Repair: an initiative to ensure our students are able to make beautiful music with quality instruments.
- The New Victorian School Music Department Expansion: allow for our school to respond to the demand for our program by expanding our facilities to include two additional classrooms.
- Publication of Romel Joseph’s 5-Volume Collection of Children’s Songs for beginning violin: an effort to ensure that the techniques and teachings of the master musician and educator are available to rising generations.
Your donation to Friends of Music Education of Haiti helps to augment the educational opportunities for more than 200 students annually. Besides academic preparation in both French and English, each student is provided with development of their artistic talent.
