Howdy! I'm Taylor Trache and if there's one thing to know about is that I love helping to find shelter pets a forever home. I'm so excited to partner with Acadiana Animal Aid on this fundraising journey. I love all animals and have grown up taking in strays and adopting rescues. My current pup, Ghost, is actually a foster fail from when I volunteered at a local shelter in college. It would be a dream for all shelters to be empty, but until that happens, Acadiana Animal Aid needs our help to continue their work in our community.

Acadiana Animal Aid is a family of rescue warriors! Our dedicated volunteers, fosters, supporters, and staff are committed to advocating for the lives of abandoned, forgotten, and neglected cats and dogs from across Louisiana. Every day, we work hard to challenge stereotypes and promote the value of shelter animals.

Acadiana Animal Aid is a leader in rescue and serves as a beacon of hope for shelter pets, providing them with safety and peace. The battle to beat pet overpopulation is at the root of our life-saving mission. In 2024, we spayed and neutered 1,433 cats and dogs. Our goal for 2025 is 2,500 animals altered! Spaying and neutering pets is the only long-term solution. 

As proud servants of the Acadiana community, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile in animal rescue by educating youth through school programs, onsite junior volunteer days, preschool programs, and community events. 

Understanding the unconditional loving bond between humans and animals, Acadiana Animal Aid welcomes veterans coping with PTSD and drug and alcohol dependency to share in special moments of support during weekly interactions. The reciprocity of care and compassion between our shelter animals and the veterans is inexplicable. The relationships ease anxiety, build confidence, comfort broken hearts, and give hope for a better future.
