During 2024, with the help of supporters like you, TCHS was able to:

• Spay or neuter and vaccinate over 1,000 community cats
• Foster and rescue over 700 dogs and cats
• Spay or neuter over 750 owned dogs and cats
• Provide emergency medical assistance to over 90 dogs and cats
• Administer over 700 vaccines and 330 microchips

We're making great strides towards helping animals in the Twin Counties and are planning to double down in 2025. Take a look below for a peek at our prioritized activities for 2025. 

This year, we plan to spay and neuter 2,000 dogs and cats

Spay and neuter is one of our primary goals at TCHS because there are just too many animals and not enough homes for them all.

It's heartbreaking to see our local shelter go back to the days of euthanizing perfectly healthy dogs or turning away cats just because they don't have enough room for all of the animals surrendered to them. 

Spay and neuter is the only humane way to reduce the population of homeless and unwanted animals.

We also plan to take in 100% of animals that need rescue this year

We work very hard to help any and all animals that are in desperate need of a lifeline, making sure they are safe and receive the medical care they need.

Last year, we were able to respond to over 700 of these animals, but we weren't able to save them all. This year we plan to do just that with your support.  

Your donations help us be able to say Yes, just when it matters the most.

And we want to give at least 1,000 free vaccines to dogs and cats

We have far too many dog and cat owners reaching out for help with expensive vet bills that are needed to save the life an animal suffering from one of several different diseases that are entirely preventable with routine vaccination.

Our goal is to stop the transmission of these deadly diseases in pets in the Twin Counties by making life-saving vaccines available to all who want them!

*$5 a month is enough to give lifesaving vaccines to a litter of puppies or kittens

$10 a month will provide medical care for homeless animals with nowhere else to turn

$25 a month will provide housing and medical care for an outdoor dog

$50 a month will provide spay or neuter and vaccination for a colony of cats
