AWEC End-of-Year Campaign

The African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) is a 12-month, high-touch leadership and business management capacity building program. Our mission is to empower African women entrepreneurs with the knowledge and network needed to build resilient and scalable businesses.

Each year, we transform the lives of 200 women entrepreneurs from across Africa and the diaspora by empowering them with world-class learning and networking opportunities.  Our skills-based approach equips women to be catalysts for change in their communities.

In the first year of our program, participants reported the following:

• 75% of our cohort members experienced revenue growth after completing the AWEC Program
• Nearly 70% of our cohort members reported better access to quality mentoring
• More than 60% of our cohort members increased the quality of their peer network
• More than 65% of our cohort members increased their level of business management expertise
• Cohort members have created 285 new jobs, helping to lift their local economies

After completing their year with AWEC, our entrepreneurs increased their annual revenue by an average of $9,211.
