The African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) is a 12-month, high-touch leadership and business management capacity building program. Our mission is to empower African women entrepreneurs with the knowledge and network needed to build resilient and scalable businesses.

Each year, we transform the lives of 200 women entrepreneurs from across Africa and the diaspora by empowering them with world-class learning and networking opportunities.  Our skills-based approach equips women to be catalysts for change in their communities.

AWEC is a donor-funded program operated through the Center for Global Enterprise, a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is focused on developing insights that help current and future business leaders build resilient enterprises.
