I have been personally involved with Girls on the Run Kentuckiana, and I am a passionate supporter of the organization because I have seen the significant impact this program has on the lives of participating girls. Girls on the Run reaches girls at a critical time in their development and grows their confidence and self-esteem, while teaching them essential life skills like teamwork, conflict resolution, and how to deal with peer pressure and bullying. At the same time, the girls build their physical fitness and learn how to set and achieve goals, both physical and in other areas of their lives.
