Transgender and gender non-binary individuals face immense challenges in a world where they are too often rejected, mistreated, and denied basic rights. Many find themselves struggling with homelessness, housing discrimination, and a lack of supportive resources, all while navigating a society that can be harsh and unforgiving.

Trans Housing Atlanta Program (THAP) is on a mission to change that. We are committed to creating a safe haven for transgender and gender non-binary individuals who are experiencing homelessness or fleeing hostile environments. By providing stable housing and support, we aim to give individuals the opportunity to rebuild their lives, access essential resources, and find a community where they can thrive.

Our Goal: Provide Housing for 5 Individuals in Need

Our goal is to raise funds to purchase a home that will serve as a sanctuary for five individuals who are facing the harsh realities of homelessness and disenfranchisement. These individuals are either escaping environments that are hostile to their identities or are struggling to find stability during a time of increased transphobia. At THAP House, we will offer them a space to heal, grow, and thrive—free from fear, isolation, and insecurity.

Why This Matters

Access to safe housing is a basic human right, yet for many in the transgender and gender non-binary community, it’s often out of reach. Discrimination in the housing market, lack of family support, and widespread transphobia can push people to the brink. At THAP, we understand that without a stable home, it’s nearly impossible to secure a job, maintain good health, or live a full life.

Our mission is to ensure that transgender and gender non-binary individuals have access to their most basic needs—shelter, food, safety, and community—so they can rebuild their lives with dignity. We want to empower these individuals to become self-sufficient and live authentically in a world that often tries to erase them.

How You Can Help

We need your support to make this vision a reality. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Make a Donation: Your financial contribution will go directly towards the purchase and maintenance of the house. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our goal of providing safe housing for those in need.

  • Share Our Campaign: Help us spread the word! Share this campaign with your network and help us reach more people who want to be part of this important work. The more people who know about THAP, the more lives we can change together.

  • Become a Partner: If you represent an organization, business, or healthcare provider, consider partnering with us to provide additional resources for our residents. Whether it’s medical care, employment opportunities, or legal assistance, your support can make a world of difference.

  • Volunteer Your Time: Whether you’re skilled in construction, administration, or simply want to offer emotional support, we would love to have you join our team and make a lasting impact in the lives of our residents.

Why Your Support Matters

By supporting THAP, you are doing more than just providing housing. You are helping to create a world where transgender and gender non-binary individuals can live without fear. A world where they can build strong, independent futures. Your contribution will empower individuals to not only survive but to truly thrive—with access to the resources they need to succeed and the community they deserve.

Together, we can change lives. Together, we can make sure that no one has to face homelessness, discrimination, or isolation alone.

Thank you for supporting Trans Housing Atlanta Program and pouring into the transgender and gender non-binary community. Your generosity will truly make a difference.
