Trans Housing Atlanta Program's mission is to provide safe, supportive housing and services to transgender and gender non-binary individuals experiencing homelessness. We are committed to helping individuals transition to independent living, reducing risky behaviors, and promoting productive employment. Our goal is to provide housing options that are centered on the specific needs of transgender and gender non-conforming people, while deconstructing the binary structure of emergency housing services in Metro Atlanta. We aim to create a housing system that is inclusive, affirming, and designed to serve the unique experiences of our community.

Transgender and gender non-binary people face disproportionate rates of homelessness, job discrimination, and social rejection. Many struggle with violence and trauma, especially in emergency shelters that often do not provide safe spaces for individuals who are not conforming to a gender binary. Without a safe, stable place to live, it is almost impossible to break free from the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
