$1,800 goal
Each graduating class from the past 20 years is paired with a current MDS grade to compete in a friendly fundraising challenge. The goal is to raise money for fun class activities that make student life unique and help classmates form enduring bonds. Remember the senior run-through, painting houses for Rebuilding Macon, Happy Fun Day, senior day at Disney, and the field trip to Chattanooga? Your donation of any size will help to provide these and many other class activities.
And there's more: The alumni class that raises the most money and has the highest participation percentage will be able to give their MDS class a full dress-down day, and you remember how important those are when you have to wear a uniform every day!
And there's even more: This is only the beginning of the class connection. Each alumni class can "adopt" their class and follow them through graduation. Your class can help your adopted MDS class have a memorable school experience!
Your class has adopted the 8th grade, and your donation will support:
In recent years, the 8th grade has visited the Andersonville Historic Site, which ties in with their American History Course. At the end of the year, we hold a graduation ceremony and celebration. We hope to add an educational overnight trip, a dance for the 8th grade, and many more experiences to foster strong bonds.
