Who We Are

Mount de Sales Academy, an independent Catholic school sponsored and inspired by the Sisters of Mercy, is a diverse college-preparatory community of learners—students and teachers alike—who are poised to discover, challenged to innovate, and motivated to serve. 

The Academy is called to excellence, and our commitment to providing the highest academic standards and unwavering support for all students prepares them well for the future. Last year, 83% of MDS applicants to the University of Georgia were accepted, while the University only admitted 37% overall. 

How You Can Help

This year, we are challenging alumni from the classes of 2007-2020 to donate for their adopted MDS class's community-building activities. There is a friendly competition between classes to see who can raise the most money and has the most participation. The winning classes will earn their adopted class a dress-down day. If we raise $5,000, President Brendan O'Kane will run a lap around the school dressed as Monty; if we raise $10,000, he has to run a mile!

Everyone can participate! You can donate directly to Mount de Sales or to a particular class's fundraising campaign, even if you aren't alumni. Donations will be used for activities that are essential to the MDS experience and to form strong bonds between classmates. For more information about the class competition, see the For Alumni tab.
