About Us

Founder: Nadege Vilsaint

From an early age, I felt a deep desire to help and serve others with love. After earning my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Barry University, I worked as a Registered Licensed Clinical Social Worker, driven by the knowledge that many, particularly our youth, were suffering and in need of assistance. Our Afterschool and Summer Programs provide critical academic support for students for whom English is a second language. We hold these programs at Arch Creek Elementary School and the North Miami Library, where we help elementary and middle school students with homework, projects, and the skills they need to thrive.

Key Programs:

- Shine Bright After School & Summer Camp: Academic Support:

  - Tutoring for elementary and middle school students

  - Focus on enhancing social skills and academics

  - Enrichment activities in STEM, art, dance, and more

- A&A Swimming Institute:

  - Inspired by the tragic deaths of twin brothers Andrew and Alex, this initiative aims to raise awareness about water safety and reduce drowning incidents in our community by providing summer swimming lessons and education on drowning risks.

- N.O.W. Project (Needing Opportunity to Win):

  - A program to empower youth through personal and professional development training, job readiness, and life skills, helping them transition successfully after high school.

- Family Resource Program:

  - A comprehensive initiative to strengthen families by providing access to public assistance, career resources, medical referrals, and more.

Our success is reflected in the testimonies of those we serve. Despite their challenges, many have transformed their lives through our programs, and we are excited to expand our efforts to include shelter for unwed mothers and victims of human trafficking.
