NOVEMBER UPDATE

The Community Food Pantry hosted the 5th annual Denim & Diamonds Gala at the Carrollwood Country Club on November 9th, 2024. It was a wonderful event, including a cocktail hour, 50/50 raffle, silent and live auctions, a wine pull, speakers and a wonderful dinner! We want to thank all of our gala sponsors, donors and attendees, volunteers and staff who made this the success it was. Please make plans to join us next Fall for our 6th annual Denim & Diamonds!

JoyFM, Angels Unaware and the Community Food Pantry StaffWe joined JoyFM and another non-profit, Angels Unaware, on Thursday, November 14th for the T-Shirts for Turkeys event in Palm Harbor at the Chick-Fil-A. We could not believe the outpouring of generosity from the community! 130 frozen turkeys were donated (one gentleman brought 37 from his business!) and LOTS of "paper" turkeys were donated in exchange for shirts as well! 

Throughout November we are making "Everything But the Turkey" non-perishable grocery bags to hand out to families in need -- these bags include a selection of menu items that can be used to spruce up a holiday table, such as potatoes or stuffing, cranberry sauce or gravy, dessert items or other goodies. Thanks to local schools, businesses and individuals, we have received many generous food donations to pass along to the community. 

On behalf of the families we serve, have a safe and memorable Thanksgiving!
