Ballethnic will crush the negative impact of Covid-19 by providing Scholarships for Black Ballerinas and Digital Education to the Community.
Ballethnic’s Resilience and Perseverance is one of its most enduring traits.
Ballethnic Celebrating 30 Years is the result of three decades of providing representation for Black artists to see themselves in the forefront, disrupting a tradition of being cast in background roles for other organizations. Boosting pride and self confidence to thousands of youth in the community has been a staple for the company through its original story ballets.
Creating opportunities through Ballethnic Academy of Dance has provided professional training and employment. The evidence is seen as young dancers rise through the ranks of the school from the "Baby Dolls" to the "Brown Sugar", or the Chocolatier, the leads in Ballethnic's Urban Nutcracker. Ballethnic has revolutionized Ballet placing its own spin on this art-form making it accessible and its own brand. Possessing the Courage to produce stories and ballets of representation and cultural relevance has been its trademark. Fighting to continue this legacy of excellence and empowerment and with a firm commitment to our community we plan to move forward in a powerful innovative manner.
