Navigating Seasons of Change: Staying Grounded and Well Through Seasonal, Emotional, Political and Environmental Change.

OK, so why the Earthlodge Center for Transformation? In short, the Earthlodge is like a sweet salve, a balm to sooth a weary soul if you'd like to get biblical. 

The Earthlodge Center for Transformation (EL) is a wellness space in Long Beach that hosts year-round intergenerational programming that is both seasonal and serial, Earth/Land-based, and cultural.

As a culturally affirming Black and Queer-founded organization, the EL serves to reconnect our communities with the wisdom, healing and nature based teachings of the Earth influenced by Black Southern indigenous tradition. The EL engages the  community through education, community building, ceremony and hands-on service. The EL services historically disadvantaged communities composed of low-income, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, people of color) and LGBTQIA+ participants who have borne the brunt of economic inequality in the state of California.

My involvement with the EL is as part of the Drum Wellness Team or the "EL Drum Core" and a GateKeeper. As a Gatekeeper I help hold space during seasonal ceremonies where community members come together to practice compassion, intentionality and mindfulness. As a drum core member, I helped hold the rhythm.

Your support will enable EL to provide:

1. 10-15 heart-centered, healing-focused programs;
2. Professional facilitators and healers specializing in spiritual and mental wellness practices;
3. Resources and materials for our sacred ceremonies and workshops;
4. Enhanced community outreach and engagement
