Red Wolf Coalition - Wild About Red Wolves

July is "Wild About Wildlife" month. The Red Wolf Coalition is asking all red wolf advocates and activists to celebrate this special month by making a positive difference for red wolves with a gift to support the important work of our dedicated and high-impact organization. We are starting this campaign with a $5000 MATCH by the SAC Charitable Foundation.

How will your dollars be used? 

1.  to cover the cost of all coyote sterilizations for the USFWS Red Wolf Recovery Program. This has proved to be a highly successful strategy for increasing wild red wolf numbers.
2.  to cover the cost of veterinary care for sick or injured wild red wolves at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
3.  to fund the Red Wolf Coalition "Red Wolf Depredation Fund" to cover the cost, based on current fair-market value, of domestic livestock verified to have been killed or injured by a red wolf.
4.  to support the Red Wolf "Save Animals From Extinction" (SAFE) Program institutions with mini grants.
5.  to develop and implement education and program materials for public outreach to schools and community groups.
6.  to support special projects needed by the Red Wolf Recovery Program. Examples include an electronic highway sign and a remotely located acclimation enclosure.
7.  to fund our operational expenses including out storefront office on Main Street in Columbia, NC, the heart of red wolf country.

Checks may be sent to Red Wolf Coalition, PO Box 96, Columbia, NC 27925. They will count toward the match and be recorded on the fundraising page as offline donations!
