Children in our Nursery and Kindergarten classrooms spend a lot of time playing, sitting, and even rolling on classroom floors. Help us to make our functional sealed concrete floors warmer and more comfortable for them!
While our teachers work tirelessly to beautify sense-friendly classrooms, wooden floors only made it to the wish list when we moved onto our new campus last year. Now is the time to make our Nursery and Kindergarten classrooms more comfortable and secure environments that mimic the nurturing warmth of home.
Combined, our 4 preschool classrooms comprise 4,500 square feet. Our wish is to purchase durable laminate flooring with cork backing at $2 per square foot, and our goal is to raise $9,000 on #GivingTuesday. Your tax deductible donation will support this effort.
Last year's #GivingTuesday raised $6,270 for our permaculture garden, which is now flourishing thanks to the generosity of our donors. Our 3rd and 5th graders take gardening and botany outside in the Garden; other classes learn sustainable gardening practices, and all students witness the garden-to-table cycle!
2015's #GivingTuesday raised $4,490 to outfit our school kitchens with refrigerators and sinks providing a tangible daily benefit for our students and teachers.
