Woodlands Wildlife Refuge is a 501c3 organization and has been dedicated to the care and release of orphaned and injured wildlife and educating the public about wild animal habits and habitats since 1986. Woodlands receives no state or federal funding and cares for over 1000 wild animals annually including endangered species and species of special concern.
There is an increasing need for wildlife rehabilitation services. In the past 7 years we have experienced a 59% increase in the number of wild patients admitted. Woodlands addresses this demand by offering our services year round and has never turned away an animal. Even with careful planning, generous in-kind donations, and management of our resources, Woodlands cannot account for unforeseen circumstances and unusual animal intakes.
Funding from this project will ensure that we can continue developing our critical care program, address our most important necessities, care for the greatest number of wild patients, give the best care possible, and not turn away animals in need.
