The RDC is seeking contributions towards the down payment for the property at 184 Broad St. The total required down payment is $462,500, of which $110,000 has already been raised. This leaves a remaining balance of $352,500 needed to secure the down payment, crucial for the agency’s long-term financial stability and growth.
Since its formal establishment in 2015, Refugee Dream Center (RDC) has grown to serve around 3,000 refugees and immigrants annually. The organization provides critical services such as employment support, temporary housing, ESOL classes, youth and adult programs, and transportation aid.
RDC plans to purchase a new facility at 184 Broad St. in Providence, RI for $1.85 million to accommodate its expanding programs and services. The larger space will provide 11,888 square feet for administrative and program activities, allowing for more effective service delivery, including increased refugee resettlement capacity and expanded educational programs.
The organization maintains diversified grant revenues and high donor retention, ensuring financial stability. The new facility aligns with RDC's strategic goals, enabling continued program expansion and better service for the refugee community.
Despite potential political shifts, RDC expects public support for refugees to grow, driven by increased humanitarian awareness and advocacy from local organizations. Success stories from RDC highlight the positive impact of its services on individual lives, reinforcing the importance of ongoing community support and engagement.
