The food pantries serve FIU students in need, and students do not need to provide proof of need to use the facility. There are two pantry locations, and all the food distributed comes from donations made by staff, faculty, members of the community, and student groups.
The student food pantry provides non-perishable food items including canned proteins, fruits, dairy, vegetables, and soups, along with grains, oils and condiments. Toiletry items are also provided.
