I have worked for The Lynchburg Humane Society full time for over 6 years, before working there I had never owned a dog! That changed when two sickly 4 week old puppies were abandoned outside the door of the old shelter on Naval Reserve Drive. They were weak pitiful things and I took them home to foster, a boy and a girl, Babe and Ruth. Sadly Ruth died in Maddie's arms soon after and I realized Babe was going to be with us forever. Fast Forward and now I have 4 dogs and a cat, all from The Lynchburg Humane Society. Maddie has also adopted a dog, Rocky, that came from the Lynchbhrg Humane Society. We are so thankful for all these crazy furballs have added to our lives. If you have a dog that you would love to honor with a donation to help the work of the Lynchburg Humane Society please consider a donation in their honor - if you don't have a dog but want to help support my "habit" consider a gift as well. And join this fun virtual party Saturday, what else do you have to do?
Join us on April 18th for the National House Pawty! More details on the Pawty’s agenda coming soon but expect A LOT of fun and a few surprises!
If you want to compete against my fundraiser - start your own!As a partner, you will be raising lifesaving dollars for your the Lynchburg Humane Society.
