Richard Montez's Thanksgiving 365 (2024)

Hunger isn’t just a Thanksgiving concern; it’s an ongoing issue that affects our community every day. Inner City Development’s Emergency Food Pantry supports this need, providing thousands of meals to families in Bexar County’s economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. The annual Thanksgiving 365 fundraiser sustains this program for an entire year, helping over 563 families (1,689 individuals) each month to bridge the gap during times of crisis. Last year, over 35,000 meals were served, including 8,613 sack lunches for homeless individuals and 3,075 lunches for children in our summer programs.

This year, starting November 12, dedicated fundraisers will fast until each raises $1,000, aiming to reach $35,000 by November 22 collectively. Donations exceeding this target will fund our summer youth program, expanding recreational and nutritional support for local children. Every contribution makes a difference in the lives of those we serve—thank you for your support!
