Mexico Mission 2018

Hi Friends and Family!

Welcome to my 2018 Mexico Missions Donation Page!

This year I have the awesome privilege of serving the elderly community and the local church in Ensenada, Mexico.  

During the day, my church mission team and I will be helping Pastor Nicolas Gallegos and his and wife Angela take care of over 50 elderly people who are dropped of by family members because no one is able to care for them during the day. We will be providing them with food, activities (i.e. exercises, games, and crafts), and sharing the love of Jesus to them. It is exciting to know that the Gospel can still reach the elderly and that we have the opportunity to do just that!

We are also partnering with the Pastor Angel Lopez in offering marriage and family training for members in the local church. When we reached out to the church and asked them what they needed, they chose marriage and family training. It is encouraging to know that the local church feels a burden for this area and is willing to receive biblical guidance in order to glorify God in this way. 

Our team is preparing lessons on the purpose of marriage, the new covenant of marriage, the importance of forgiving, forbearing, and discipling our children.   This is particularly exciting for me because we focused on these same themes in our missions trip to northeast India 2 years ago and it was amazing to see the reconciliation between husbands and their wives and a renewed commitment to being leaders to their children. 

I do not claim to be any expert in caring for the elderly or offering training in marriage but I am willing and my God is able. I pray that God would be glorified in our obedience would and bring these people hope, joy, and eternal life in Jesus Christ. 

More than your donations, your prayers are needed. Please pray that:

God would use us to bring the gospel to these people 

God would help us to be sensitive to the needs of these people and help them with their needs

That they elderly would accept Christ

That the local church families would find healing and reconciliation and hope in Christ
