THE WOOLSEY FIRE ANNIVERSARY
Dear Friends & Contributors –
It’s been a year since a birds eye view of the charred mountain landscape started me on a journey which led me to folks and their stories they graciously shared – and to you, who helped bring this vision forward and create this book, a time capsule, chronicling our collective experience during the dark event and its aftermath one year ago.
We're happy to share that the first books will be back from the printers in time for the the one-year anniversary. Your copies will be shipping out to you as soon as we receive them.
From here on out 100% of proceeds will flow directly and in equal parts back to four local non-profit organizations – SAMO FUND, TCEP, RCDSMM and the TFI.
The books will retail at $42.– Please let us know, should you want to order extra copies.
My deep gratitude to all of you for the trust and support.

The Woolsey Fire - In Memory,
One Year Ago
Here we are approaching the 1 year mark from the start of the Woolsey Fire and we would like to make sure that this event remains as a reminder of just how precious life and property, here in the mountains, valleys and hills that make up this amazing place we call home.
Its strange to think of what the landscape consisted of prior to fire, but we are quickly reminded once we travel to the South and see the mountain landscape untouched by fire. The local chaparral is so beautiful as it makes up an evergreen landscape, despite the amazing super-bloom that followed, we pray for the chaparral's return!
On November 8th, 2019 we will be convening here at Cornell Winery to reflect and share stories of the heroics that were exhibited by many of our neighbors, the brave first responders and the continued narrative for those that lost their homes but most off all the fractured nature of life when your friends and neighbors are suddenly gone. The Woolsey fire continues to deliver bad news as we try to navigate the pitfalls of our governments process, the ever-changing landscape and the dangers of flood and debris flow.
