Team McMillen 2025
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
CONCERNS OF POLICE SURVIVORS IL Chapter$1,125
raised by 8 people
$6,000 goal
On July 9th, 2025, the McMillen family will once again put rubber to pavement and make the journey across the state in memory of our son/ brother Brian and all other fallen officers with IL COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors). It is 4 days of pedaling from Champaign IL to Chicago, IL, to help raise funds to support our fellow survivors.
On Oct. 28, 2007, Brian Carl McMillen lost his life in the line of duty as an IL State Trooper. This is when our family was introduced to this amazing organization. COPS provides emotional support to families of fallen police officers throughout the United States by coordinating retreats for the survivors. Parents, siblings, spouses, significant others, and co-workers join together to help each other on their journey to heal from losing the ones they love. COPS Kid’s Camp and Outward Bound are designed specifically for the children of fallen officers and provide great opportunities for them.
Each year, IL COPS has this fundraising bike ride where survivors like us, supporters, and law enforcement professionals come together in friendship, love, and support to help raise funds to make these retreats possible.
The friendships and continued support we have received from this organization are priceless. This bike ride is one way we can give back to this great organization so they can continue to help future families with losing the ones they love.
In order to participate, Team McMillen needs to raise a minimum of $6,000.00 by May 1. Please help us in this cause that is so dear to our hearts.
