Nursing Beyond Borders is a 501(c)3 public charity which exists to provide healthcare and education to children and their communities on a global scale. We focus on preventing disease before it starts by sending nurses to serve in our network of partnered orphanages, shelters, underserved schools, and clinics . Through our focused healthcare initiatives, workshops, and partnerships with local providers we provide a sustainable model of care which empowers children to improve not only their own lives, but to impact the lives of future generations.
In general this means providing free physicals to children and then also covering the cost and providing for any follow-up. If their ailment is of high priority they are seen by our team of nurses or Nurse Practitioners. If they can wait they are referred to a local provider which our follow-up nurse facilitates.
In the era of Covid-19 our team and individual trips have been few and far between, but we have still been able to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 through mask and hand-sanitizer distribution, hand hygiene education, and online workshops with local staff at our host organizations.
Your donation to this fundraiser will allow us to continue supporting Covid-19 mitigation efforts in Cambodia, Mexico, and Ghana. Here is a break down of what your funds can go to help:
$5- children's tylenol
$15- surgical masks for 50 children
$30- temporal thermometer
$50- hand-sanitizer bottles (5)
$75- reusable masks for 60 children
$100- cost of educational workshop with brochures and supplies
**Please keep in mind the items we purchase are generally obtained in the host country, and are generally harder to find there than in the States, and therefore the cost is generally higher than Amazon may list.**
