$2,500 goal

By giving a donation to The Assemble to Serve (TATS) Food Pantry on #GivingTuesday, you are making an investment to ensure that food insecurity is eradicated from all households in South Georgia! You will become a part of all those who assemble to enact meaningful change in their communities. In 2022, TATS Food Pantry is turning five and we want to distribute 250,000lbs of food to those in need. Help us raise $2500 to meet our goal of $5,000 by #GivingTuesday!

Our Mission

The Assemble to Serve (TATS) Food Pantry is dedicated to ending food insecurity in Muscogee County, GA.

What is Food Insecurity?

  • According to Feeding America, "Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. This can be a temporary situation for a household or can last a long time. Food insecurity is one way we can measure how many people cannot afford food."

Our Solution

  • TATS Food Pantries take place on the second Tuesday of every month.
  • Our feeding program provides 75-200lbs of groceries to 600-900 members of our community monthly.
  • TATS Food Pantry is a 211 emergency food supplier year-round for United Way of The Chattahoochee Valley.
  • We are housed on the campus of Beth Salem Presbyterian Church: 4253 St.Mary's Road, Columbus, GA, 31907

What Happens When We Assemble

  • Each household that acquires groceries from TATS Food Pantry, receives a retail value of $75 to $250 in food. The cost savings that our pantry provides is fundamental to the survival of many low-moderate income households in Muscogee county. If clients are put in a position to better support themselves, the elderly population now can afford all of their prescriptions and a family of four can pay their utilities with ease.
