Theatrical Outfit's 2023-24 Season includes five productions throughout the season. In September/October, TO will produce the Atlanta premiere of "Passing Strange" by Heidi Rodewald and Stew, a soulful rock musical that takes us from black middle-class America to Europe and beyond on a journey towards personal and artistic authenticity; in November/December, we will produce a holiday favorite for the whole family, “A Christmas Story,” humorist Jean Shepherd's memoir of growing up in 1940s middle America; in January/February, TO will partner with The Breman Museum to produce the Atlanta premiere of "Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski" by Clark Young and Derek Goldman, a one-person play that portrays a Polish World War II hero and Holocaust witness who risked his life to carry his report of the Warsaw ghetto from war-torn Poland to the Allied Nations only to be disbelieved; in March/April, TO will produce the Atlanta premiere of Lynn Nottage's award-winning "Clyde's," about a truck stop that offers its formerly incarcerated staff a shot at redemption; and the season will close in May/June with the Tony and Pulitzer Award-winning "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" by Edward Albee, a fierce telling of a middle-aged couple's bitter relationship.
All productions take place at T.O.'s beautiful home at The Balzer Theater at Herren's on Luckie Street in the heart of downtown Atlanta.
