The SSP '19 FUNd with Challenge Match

Dear SSPer from 2009 - 2018*:

The new SSP FUNd lets you to reach out and make a direct connection to this summer's participants. Just as you voted on T-shirt artwork, they'll vote on how to spend the FUNd ... maybe midnight pizza before the report deadline, or bowling on a Sunday afternoon, or pool rental, or an SSP hoodie, or whatever gives them the biggest smile. If we make our $6,400 goal, they (TAs included!) can spend $40 each. Any amount raised beyond that will go to defray the $400,000 we granted in financial aid this year.

We'll share the names of donors (but not amounts) with the participants. They'll know that you fondly remember your own SSP experience, and want to give them a fun memory. Afterward, you'll get to watch a video of them having fun with their FUNd.

Because many younger alumni have limited resources, four older alumni have offered to match the first $25 of your donation, doubling its impact. Give what you can, but please participate.

The FUNd will close on June 15th, the day before Arrival Day. We'll tell them all about it at the orientation meeting, reinforcing that SSP is not "science camp," it's a worldwide network of caring people. Thank you!
