Empowering Independence: Support SOC's Mission

Welcome to our team page for North State Giving Tuesday! We are excited to raise funds to support Siskiyou Opportunity Center (SOC), an organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual disabilities through job training, life skills, and community-based opportunities.

At SOC, we believe in the power of independence. Your donations help us provide the resources our clients need to thrive—whether it’s vocational support, transportation to work, or educational programs that build confidence and self-sufficiency.

This year, we’re expanding our reach to even more individuals, including new opportunities in Redding and Shasta County. Last year, thanks to generous donors like you, we were able to purchase new vehicles, send staff to valuable training, and provide life-changing support to many.

Our goal is $20,000. If we reach that goal, we will be able to: 

• Purchase additional vehicles to support our growing Redding and Siskiyou County crews
• Expand vocational training programs and life skills workshops to help even more clients build independence.
• Provide transportation for clients to work, ensuring they have access to steady, fulfilling jobs.                  
• Offer essential staff training to continue delivering high-quality, compassionate support.
