Sheehy Family's Fundraiser for Code:You

Code:You means a lot to our family. Mike was a student in the pre-grant days of Code Louisville circa 2014, and Shannon was a student in the first class under the innovative federal Tech Hire initiative grant in summer 2015. 

Mike went on to take more tech courses before launching a career in software development, and has gone on to volunteer as a mentor for Code:You programs where he helps foster the next wave of tech talent.

Shannon has spent over six years as an employee of the program, starting as a Student Success Coordinator, moving on to Operations Manager for the newly-formed Code Kentucky program in summer 2021, and currently serves as the Manager of Strategic Partnerships for Code:You, overseeing the careers team. On her first day with Code Louisville in April 2016, the program had logged 44 job placements; today we're at nearly 1200!

Code:You provides tech training at no cost to students, and Shannon's team works to connect them to job opportunities as they launch their new careers. 

Your donation will allow Code:You to continue our work to strengthen the tech ecosystem across the Commonwealth, and to change the lives of participants who now have access to well-paid, stable jobs. Thank you for your consideration!
