Darla Dreams of a Better Life

Darla’s life has been a heartbreaking story of neglect and loneliness. This 1 year old Terrier mix was rescued from a hoarding case in rural Virginia, where she and dozens of other dogs lived in unimaginable conditions. While her companions have found safety with other rescues, Darla remains behind, waiting day after day in the shelter with no one coming to save her. Her sad eyes tell a story of longing for love she’s never known. Homeward Trails Animal Rescue wants to bring Darla to the DC area to give her the fresh start she deserves, but we need your help.
