Farleys for Orphan Care Alliance

Orphan Care Alliance has been an instrumental support for our family since 2016 when we brought Ryan home. The free trauma training and Connect support groups for foster, adoptive, and kinship families have been such an encouragement. We have seen much healing come to our adopted children and know that trauma informed parenting was crucial to that healing. Orphan Care Alliance serves vulnerable families across Kentucky and southern Indiana. Below you can see all of the amazing, free resources that OCA provides. Orphan Care Alliance serves as a parachurch ministry connecting, equipping, and mobilizing Christ followers to support foster, adoptive, relative families, and those on the margin of losing their children to foster care.  We help to educate the local church about the needs of these families in their community.  OCA offers tools and resources to build healthy relationships and community around the families they serve.  

What Services We Provide

 Family Support - Supporting families through their journey of adoption, foster, and relative care.    

 * OCA Gateway - Volunteers meeting needs and services of vulnerable children and families in communities.    

 * Connect Groups - Providing safe community education and support groups for adoptive, foster, and relative families.     

* Trauma Education - Providing FREE trauma education to churches so they better understand children in their care.    

 * Adoption Loans & Grants - Providing loans and grants for domestic and international adoptions.     

* Community Impact Scholarship - Providing scholarships for specialized therapies and services.     

* Family Coaching - Specialized coaching for struggling adoptive, foster, and relative families.     

* Foster & Respite Care Training - Training and equipping families desiring to foster or provide respite care.    

 * Adoption Option - Providing education about all adoption opportunities.

Family Preservation - Walking with families on the margin of losing their children to foster care.     

* Family Care - Providing individualized case management to hurting families, while connecting them to the local church.     

* Family Coaching - Training volunteers to serve as mentors for families on the journey through the Family Care Program.     

* OCA Restore - Training volunteers to provide short-term respite for natural families and relative care families.    

 * Families Count - Training churches to provide family parenting classes.

Life Coaching - Providing trained volunteer mentors to youth and young adults with adoption, foster, and/or relative care history.

Church Engagement - Connecting, equipping, and mobilizing local churches to better understand and serve the needs of families walking the journey of adoptive, foster, relative care, and those on the margin of losing their children to foster care.
