"My name is Corey. At age 19, I was enrolled in college on a scholarship, making the dean’s list, but all the while selling drugs to support my ever increasing, out of control addiction. Eventually, I collapsed under the pressure of trying to live out that facade, and my family learned who I had become. I completed several recovery programs and had short periods of sobriety always ending in relapse. It wasn’t until faith was applied to my recovery at Isaiah House that I had any lasting success. Today I choose to be grateful for the opportunity I have been given, apply the tools I have learned, and serve the God who set me free."
Isaiah House has always been about God’s miracles - hundreds of men breaking free from the grip of addiction and finding their way to a productive and meaningful life. We are the only Christian-based residential treatment center in the nation (16 beds or more) to achieve accreditation as a behavioral health facility by the nationally renowned Joint Commission. In 2015, Isaiah House provided residential substance abuse treatment for over 300 clients representing residents of 59 Kentucky counties.
Our mission is to provide the best possible care to those entrusted to us regardless of socio-economic means and to treat the whole family. We strive to provide a place of recovery, transformation, and healing by instilling tools to break destructive patterns and habits. We have watched families heal broken relationships, discover the power of forgiveness, and learn the most effective way to help their loved ones caught in the disease of addiction. Isaiah House receives no government funding but depends primarily on client fees and donations.
Our program goes beyond helping people get off the drugs that are destroying their lives. We want to give the tools they need to maintain sobriety for a lifetime. Gifts are used to support job training, clinical counseling, group therapy, GED and college classes, family education classes, curriculum and transportation expenses for clients to attend church, court, doctor’s appointments, community service activities and outside employment.
We simply would not exist without the support of churches, individuals and community organizations.
