Help Support CART

The Child Abuse Response Team (CART) is a team of volunteers who are on call 24/7.  Highly trained and supervised by For The Child, we respond to cases for victims ages 0-21 at three different local LA county hospitals when a sexual assault is suspected by law enforcement. Arriving with a roller bag full of games and toys, we provide physical support, comfort, and advocacy for the victim throughout the process of the forensic medical exam. Each child receives their very own teddy bear, along with a packet containing counseling resources. We also provide snacks and a change of clothes, if needed. We do everything we can to ensure the child's comfort. But, the CART team is expensive to train and maintain. Your donations will go directly to providing support for CART, as well as teddy bears, toys, and games for the children.

For The Child has for 50 years provided professional intervention, treatment, and other services to children who have been witnesses or victims of abuse, neglect, and domestic or community violence.
