HORSE HEROES NEEDED!
Sherman (L) and Chief (R) have been together for as long as they can remember! Their owner and long-time supporter of IHR donated the pair as he was not able to dedicate enough time to both of them. With a heavy heart, he asked Robert to take them as he knew they would be happy and well taken care of at IHR. Chief suffers from laminitis and requires a strict diet and care. The two are quite the pair and are a favorite at the ranch!
Shammy was donated to IHR as the owners could not keep her. She has been well taken care of and is well-trained and ready to go to a new home. Shammy can only be used for light riding as she has been diagnosed with Ringbone. This has not slowed her down in any way!
This #GivingTuesday, you can be a #HorseHero by donating to their care.
Here is how your donation will help Chief, Sherman, and Shammy:
- $10 = one round of de-wormer treatment for one horse (given twice a year)
- $25 = one bag of supplemental feed
- $50 = hoof trimming for one horse (done every 6-8 weeks)
- $150 = one ton of hay
- $500-$1,000 = one month of training for one horse
Every donation makes a critical difference for these horses, no matter how big or how small.
You can also help Chief, Sherman, and Shammy in lieu of donation by simply sharing this page for them. Sharing their story is just as important as donating!
