Precious Little Ladies Inc. (PLL) was started by Aziza Kibibi who is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. When she was 8 years old she was molested by her father to which, over the years she gave birth to 4 children for him. After escaping her traumatic life, establishing herself and her family and attending college, Aziza was compelled to start an organization that would help other survivors, as well as find ways to prevent what happened to her, from happening to others.
Using knowledge from her own experience, Aziza created programs to help parents find resources to help prevent the abuse of their children. By using media, social media, public speaking and television appearances, Aziza raises awareness on the issues in the hopes that together we can do better at protecting our children.
PLL also conducts workshops on child sex abuse, self defense and social media etiquette. And every month Aziza organizes and conducts a survivor support group that provides a safe space for survivors to share, help and heal.
PLL also distributes hundreds of informational pamphlets to help educate the community.
PLL provides these services free of charge and most programs are paid out of Aziza's pocket, which is why we need your help.
Our prospective functioning budget for our programs to serve the community of Essex County is $125,000+ annually. But with an advertising grant from Google and the reach that Aziza has realized through publications such as Glamour magazine, we receive requests to provide our services globally.
We are looking to hire staff, secure a dedicated location and start chapters in other states and countries. We believe with support and hard work, this can be achieved.
That being said, we have to start where we are.
This campaign represents our immediate goal to pay for legal fees and nonprofit insurance while maintaining the programs that we currently have in place to serve the local community. It is also to help develop and staff our toll free number, 1-877-TELLPLL (877-835-5755).
