Help bring underserved children to the safe environment of the Henry Plant Museum this holiday season. You will bring happiness by making it possible for us to invite them and their families to visit the Victorian Christmas Stroll. Please invest in the cultural health of our youth.
With your support, these children will have the rare opportunity to step into a storybook-setting where their imagination can charge full steam ahead. Imagine their amazement as they discover over 100 Christmas trees from 2 inches to 14 feet tall. They will be amused by dozens of tiny alligators hidden throughout the Museum, and they will find antique toys fascinating. They will learn about our famous guests including Babe Ruth and Thomas Edison. You can make this possible for children in our community.
With the funds raised on Giving Tuesday, we will bring groups from organizations such as Joshua House, Metropolitan Ministries, Community Stepping Stones, Boys and Girls Clubs, foster families and others, to the Museum at no charge.
Research shows that exposure to arts and culture at a young age has positive long-term benefits. A visit to the Victorian Christmas Stroll introduces children to the history of Tampa, and shares the stories of the individuals who lived and worked at the Tampa Bay Hotel.
