Swimming is a life-saving skill for children and a vital tool to prevent drowning, the second leading cause of unintended injury-related death for children ages 5-14.
The YMCA is the leading provider of swim lessons on Long Island. Every year, we teach more than 16,000 swim lessons and are nationally recognized for our skill building and drown prevention efforts. As a leader in teaching water safety, the Y believes all kids should learn to swim - will you help us?
Our goal is to provide swimming lessons to at least 10 underprivileged kids. Your donation will help create a safe environment in and around pools. Additionally, learning to swim can improve general health and fight against obesity and diabetes.
Every gift makes a difference. Everyone has a role to play.
Together, we can build a better us.
