Operating Fund

At Station 1 Records, we reject the notion of working for "exposure." Exposure doesn't pay bills and you certainly can't sustain yourself on a daily dose of exposure.  As such, we've dedicated ourselves to providing fair compensation to artists, employees, interns, and staff in order to provide the best creative workplace we can, and to give our artists and staff the financial security they need in order to focus on creating art and developing our mission, instead of working multiple part-time jobs to make ends meet and taking gigs on the side.

Staffing a non-profit such as Station 1 is no cheap or easy feat.  In order to recruit the best talent and provide the best services we need to attract and maintain the best people, and while our mission drives that talent to our door, we can't let them in without financial security.  Our staff, interns, and contractors include both new and experienced industry professionals in the fields of production, artist management, talent booking, and business/transactional and intellectual property law.

For those reasons, we're launching this Operating Fund campaign in order to help support the ongoing activities of Station 1 while providing fair and reasonable compensation to our staff for all of the amazing hard work they do.
