The Sliding Scale Tuition Program removes barriers to ensure children, birth to 5, have access to affordable high-quality early childhood education. Access to therapy, case management, and support services help mobilize families experiencing financial difficulty to create a foundation for multi-generational change by impacting both the parent (guardian) and the young child. This model is unique to the area and provides access to high quality early childhood education for children living in low income and working class families. Research shows that if a child receives high-quality early education, they are more likely to enter kindergarten ready, require less school remediation and graduate from high school – breaking the cycle of poverty.
Bentonville is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country, with several Fortune-500 employers. In spite of these strengths, the community has significant economic needs, including high income inequality. The gap between the wealthy and the disadvantaged continues to increase with over 1 in 4 young children living below the poverty line. Access to high quality early childhood education remains difficult for these families.
Families that qualify for assistance will receive a 15-90% discount based on their household income. Your support will provide scholarship funding to offset the cost in what families can afford to pay.
