The work continues. The Francie Peake Unity360 Community Fund was established to honor Francie’s deep commitment to the hard work of antiracism and social justice.

In 2015, Francie joined her dear friend, Roni Bennett - Executive Director of SFPOC, as one of the founders of Miami Shores People of Color which grew and evolved into South Florida People of Color.

Unity360 for the past decade has provided transformative forums for blacks, whites and Latinos to come together and openly discuss America’s legacy of systemic racism. Its programs include Race Dialogues where attendees are educated through films, readings and workshops; Awkward Dinners which bring together people from diverse backgrounds to break bread and share experiences; community tours of historic Black and Latino neighborhoods; and Black History Month.

The work of Unity360 is more important than ever in these times of polarized politics and amplified misunderstandings. Through education, dialogue and advocacy, we can create equity.
