Oda Foundation ensures thousands in rural Nepal have opportunities to live - and to thrive.
We ensure free health care, life-changing women's health and economic support, and long-term solutions for public schools.
These are life-changing, irreplaceable services for one of the most impoverished regions in the world.
Access to a book or antibiotic ointment, or a woman's ability to save money or have economic opportunity, was incredibly rare or impossible in our community, before Oda Foundation.
Join us as a "Decades Supporter" in our $100,000 campaign to ensure Oda Foundation's first decade of impacts will last for decades to come.
Your funds make an immediate impact to save lives, provide opportunities for women, and fight for equity in education.

Women holding kits to make their own pads -- we have provided over three thousand women with access to menstrual education
Our nurse, Sarita, has been with Oda Foundation for seven years.
WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO?We provide urgent support like health care and economic opportunities, while building a foundation for long-term solutions like women and community-led enterprise, agricultural systems, women's health education, and education partnerships.
A donation of just $45 pays a medical assistant salary for a week; $3,000 covers their salary for a year. These are our staff who ensure 10,000+ patients each year receive care.
A donation of $100 covers the cost of preventive primary care medicines for nearly 30 patients. With a 24/7 hospital and labor & delivery - always free to patients - your donation ensures people get the care and resources they deserve for the basics: heart and lung health, diagnosis and referrals, and simple things like antibiotic ointment.
A donation of $1000 provides one month of detailed agricultural training for women. More than ever before, and after a decade of building relationships in our community, we are seeing the results of skills trainings that allow women to save money, keep their children (especially girls) in school, and change their lives generation to generation. Your donation is part of making the ability to thrive, for generations and generations, possible.
We fight to make sure girls will have opportunities they deserve to be healthy, to learn, and to make a living in the long-term. We see results with healthier menstrual practices, more births at the birthing center and access to birth control, more girls staying in school with higher attendance at partner schools, and more than 100 women organizing and saving money in our Women's Cooperative.
Oda village is beautiful, and remote. Our hospital is the closest health care within six hours, and the only free health care in Kalikot.
MORE ON ODA FOUNDATION'S IMPACTS
10 years ago, we were co-founded by Karan Singh, a native to Oda, and John Christopher, who now serves on the board. We serve a remote and impoverished population, where our impacts include:
- a government-appointed hospital that has provided for over 100,000 patients and provides 24/7 emergency care, all for free to the patients (which is atypical in Nepal),
- critical infrastructure improvements, from solar and agriculture, to water access, to our new Birthing Center,
- one-of-a-kind relationships with the Nepali government, including financial and logistics support for our healthcare, education, and youth programs
- experience building successful enterprise in a remote location, and a Women's Cooperative that has saved nearly $6,000 USD for microloans to their members.
We are dedicated to locally driven systems change in a region where women have little financial power, literacy rates for some groups fall below 50%, and 80% of men travel to India for work. Our programs prioritize women’s health and economic power, public education, and preventative health.
Thank you so, so much for your support and for joining the Oda Foundation family! It means the world to us all.
