This Thanksgiving season, and all year round, No Surrender is so grateful for all our participants, donors, advocates and volunteers!
We are humbly asking for your support on #GivingTuesday to fuel our 2024 season. We believe that sport is a powerful tool for the development, growth, and empowerment of individuals, families, and communities. Your donations directly aid in carrying out our mission to empower West Michigan youth to achieve great things, one step at a time.
NSRC activates opportunity by breaking down real and perceived barriers to sport participation among West Michigan Youth, such as:
- Barriers related to pay-to-play or try-out centered sports programs
- NSRC is the only sport-for-development program in Kent County that is open to all youth and completely free for families.
- Lack of representation in the sport of running
- 93% of youth participants identified as a Person of Color.)
- Lack of trust in external systems
- 100% of youth and family members agreed that they felt connected to a community of people at NSRC.
- Perceptions of a specific "Athletic Requirement" (ex. "I'm not fast enough" or "I'm not a runner")
- At the end of 2022 programming, 85% of youth strongly agreed with the statement, "I am a strong athlete."
We cannot thank you enough for your contributions, likes, or shares of our campaign!
