Isaac's Fundraiser for St. Croix Festival Theatre

Growing up with St. Croix Festival Theatre was nothing short of transformative for me. The performances—and the theatre’s arts education programs—taught me how to listen, how to imagine, and how to connect with people who were different from me. They sparked a lifelong love for the arts. The experiences I had with Festival Theatre helped shape who I am today, and I want to make sure the next generation has that same opportunity.

That’s why I'm raising funds to support student matinees and price-accessible performances for low-income families during our 2025 season. These special offerings make it possible for more students and community members to experience the joy and emotional resonance of live performance, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Research shows that access to the arts has profound benefits, especially for young people. A 2012 study by the National Endowment for the Arts found that low-income students highly engaged in the arts were more likely to attend college, get good grades, and be involved in civic activities. Similarly, a 2019 report from the Journal of Positive Psychology found that arts participation—including theatre—significantly boosts feelings of well-being and lowers levels of depression and stress. Attending live theatre fosters empathy, critical thinking, and connection—skills and qualities that ripple outward into our schools, families, and neighborhoods.
