Giving Tuesday: Hope for GA’s Displaced Children

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and loved. But for thousands of displaced children across Georgia—those in foster care, living with grandparents, or placed with relatives—their reality often includes trauma, uncertainty, and a lack of basic necessities.

The Foster Care Support Foundation is dedicated to changing this. Through our programs, we provide essential items like clothing, school supplies, developmental toys, and infant care equipment—all at no cost to the families who care for these vulnerable children. These resources help children feel included, confident, and capable of thriving, even in the face of adversity.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your support to continue this life-changing work.

Why Your Support Matters

Imagine being uprooted from everything familiar and arriving at a new home with nothing but the clothes on your back. This is the reality for many displaced children. Their caregivers—often grandparents or other relatives—step up without hesitation, but they often lack the financial resources to meet the sudden and overwhelming needs of the children in their care.

Your donation helps bridge this gap. With your help, FCSF can:

• Provide full seasonal wardrobes so kids can dress confidently and comfortably.
• Supply school supplies to ensure every child is prepared for success in the classroom.
• Deliver developmental toys that encourage learning and play, critical for emotional and cognitive growth.
• Offer safe infant care items, like cribs and strollers, to keep the youngest children secure.

Our Impact

FCSF has been serving Georgia’s displaced children since 2000. In that time, we’ve helped over 78,000 children find stability and hope in the face of displacement. Last year alone, we provided for thousands of kids through our innovative Distribution Program and special initiatives like the Grands Raising Grands Holiday Wish Program and Prom-a-Palooza.

This year, our goal is to serve 3,400 children, but we can’t do it without you.
