Programs
For young black women, ages 10-18 who have received education in the county of Dillon, SC, Miss Socialite Brunch enlightens them with infinite possibilities and entrepreneurial spirit through our Miss Socialite Brunch panel events, Young Professional Scholarship Accelerator, and Miss Socialite Mentor 101 programs.
With the Miss Socialite Brunch, a panel event, young women are being introduced to entrepreneurial professionals on a panel who engage them with story-telling of their youthful years and how they have come into their current position over brunch. The women offer advice on how to overcome obstacles to be successful female business owners while highlighting questions from the audience about education.
With the Miss Socialite Mentor 101, young women are offered 1:1 interaction with a personal mentor of the MSB Network past and present. The mentor offers the young woman guidance and advice in self-care, self-confidence, and performs weekly check-ins for moral support.
With the Young Socialite Scholarship Accelerator, young women are offered scholarships for business and educational goals. After participating in a three- week seminar session, young women are interviewed for a chance to receive funds towards a summer camp, funds towards a college, or funds towards a business. This accelerator is to prepare young women for the journey towards socioeconomic power, educational network, and community leadership.
