Milwaukee Bronzeville Histories, a virtual interactive platform of the history, arts and culture of Milwaukee's historic Bronzeville neighborhood, will launch during the City of Milwaukee's Bronzeville Week, August 6-13.
This ongoing digital platform archives and preserves Milwaukee Bronzeville history with oral histories, a research database, podcasts, a teaching resource and a self-guided walking tour of the Milwaukee Bronzeville community. The platform launches with a self guided tour brochure and a History In The Making Humanities Venue August 13, during the annual ArtsWalk Event. The platform starts a curriculum and a digital historic research lab providing "good will," amongst all communities.
The website is made possible with a generous grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, affiliation with University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and support from the MLK Business Improvement District.
