AACHI is one of the only organizations in Central Texas to provide free culturally & language-specific support services to marginalized Asian communities.

Each year, AACHI:

  • translates & distributes pertinent health information through over 270,000 touch points in responds to winter storms, infectious diseases, & other critical circumstances

  • helps to provide transportation to 100+ individuals

  • facilitates the completion of hundreds of applications for health insurance, resulting in over 95% of our clients gaining or maintaining health coverage

  • organizes 20+ community engagement & education events

  • advocates for health equity & underserved Asian Americans whenever possible

Who does AACHI serve?

  • Immigrant groups who earn 200% below the federal poverty level.

  • First-generation Asian Americans who have Limited English Proficiency (LEP) & are more likely to be uninsured compared to their English speaking counterparts.

How has AACHI helped diverse Asian ethnic groups in Austin get better healthcare?

  • Since 2016, AACHI has collaborated with the local community to create events & programming that serves vulnerable populations.

  • We employ certified Community Health Workers (CHWs) to help clients access & navigate vital healthcare services.

  • As trusted neighbors & frontline health workers, our CHWs have provided language-specific services in Arabic, Burmese, Chin Tedim, English, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Nepali, Hindi, & Vietnamese.
